BKT140

Biokine is focusing its effort on the development of a novel CXCR4 antagonist, BKT140, as a treatment for cancer and cancer related side effects. Through extensive research on this molecule, we discovered a unique mechanism of action for the CXCR4 antagonist BKT140. Encouraged by promising preclinical results in the treatment of cancer and neutropenia induced by chemotherapy radiation therapy and BM transplantation, Biokine has embarked on the clinical development of BKT140 with the objective of initiating a clinical trial (Phase I/II study) in patients with neutropenia and anemia that is associated with chemotherapy or radiation therapy for cancer and bone marrow transplantation. In parallel, Biokine continues to explore the use of BKT140 as treatment of cancer.
